Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 With Nougat Update In The Pipeline

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench with the mandatory Android Nougat update. Released in September 2015, initially with the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system, the update will bring the popular Galaxy Tab back in the mainstream tablet market, most of which run on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system. Since the benchmarking tests are performed at the fag end of the production process, Samsung may well be on its way to introduce a new generation of the Tab.

In the listing, as seen on Geekbench and given below, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 bears the model number SM-T7719 and has apparently got 1449 points in the standardised single-core test. In the multi-core test, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 received 3272 points. The other features as listed are essentially the same. If the listing turns out to be true, the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 will join a long list of Samsung devices to receive the Nougat update this year. Sources suggest that other devices including the Galaxy A3 (both 2016 and 2017), the Galaxy A5 (again, both the 2016 and 2017 versions), the Galaxy A7 and the Galaxy A8.
