Meizu E2 Leaks In Video A Week Before Launch; Shows Horizontal Rear Camera

Meizu E2: We have seen a couple of smartphones from Meizu appear on benchmarking sites lately, but the latest leak pertains to the highly anticipated Meizu E2 smartphone that is slated for launch sometime soon. The new leak happens to be in the form of a leaked video that someone uploaded on Chinese social networking platform Weibo, and it shows off several different aspects of the device.

The Meizu E2 smartphone had earlier leaked in various stages, and we saw the device possibly pass through TENAA recently under the model number M621C-S. Meizu has also been teasing the device with images that feature the outline of the handset. Due to this, some of its features specs have been common knowledge for a while. But the newly surfaced leak is interesting because one can clearly see some inconsistencies compared to what Meizu has been hinting in a few aspects.

The clip is a short one, and it showcases the upcoming Meizu E2 from all possible angles. But what strikes us right at the beginning is that the camera placement at the back is markedly different from Meizu’s official images. You can see in the invites that the smartphone is supposed to have its optical setup right at the center of the top half. The module is round, and has the flash located right below it.

However, in the video you can find that the smartphone featured has its camera located at the top left corner in a horizontal setup. No surprises when we get to the front, however. The large screen has a fingerprint scanner located at the bottom, as is expected. We do not quite know what to make out of this, so take the contents of the clip with a grain of salt.

The Meizu E2 is believed to be slated for launch on April 26, according to the official invites from Meizu. The smartphone is expected to come with a large 5.5-inch display, a 13MP camera at the rear, and a 5MP unit in front. It will be pack in a 1.8GHz octa-core processor and come with RAM options of up to 4GB. The battery will be an impressive 3,920mAh unit.
