Ahead of its April 19 launch, the teaser of Xiaomi Mi 6 has been released and fans are going gaga over it. Along with Mi 6, the company is also expected to launch another variant model, Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, which would feature a bigger screen. Specifications, price and features of the both the models have been leaked several times over the internet.
Powered by Snapdragon 835 processor, Xiaomi Mi 6 will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. With a 5.1-inch full HD display along with 1920*1080 resolution, the device will have 4GB RAM and an internal memory of 64GB and 128GB. Speaking of the camera, it will have a 12 megapixels primary camera with 4K recording support. The secondary camera will be an 8 megapixels secondary camera capable of 4K recording.
The teaser of the device comes with the tagline, “You waited for 203 days, we waited for seven years.”
The Xiaomi Mi 6 with 64GB internal storage will be priced 2,199 Yuan, which is around Rs. 20,500 in Indian currency. The same model with 128GB internal storage has been priced at 2,599 Yuan, which is around Rs. 24,300 in Indian value.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will come in three different variants. The first one will provide 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It has been priced at 2,699 Yuan (around Rs. 25,200). The second one will provide 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It has been priced at 3,099 Yuan (Rs. 29,000). The third one will provide 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. This one has been priced at 3,699 Yuan (Rs. 34,600), as per NDTV Gadgets 360 Degrees.
Xiaomi, the third largest smartphone maker in the world after Samsung and Apple, has its name in the Guinness Book of World Records by holding the record for “most number of phones sold on a single online platform in one day”. It sold 2,112,010 handsets on April 6, 2015, when the company to celebrate its fifth anniversary, held an online shopping day which offered huge discounts on its direct-to-customer website Mi.com.
