Chinese electronics company Xiaomi is preparing to release its latest flagship model Xiaomi Mi Max 2 next week, which is being dubbed as the successor of Xiaomi Mi Max which was released last year. The specifications of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has already been leaked online and has fans gushing over its micro-details.
The highly anticipated model will come in two different CPU variants. The standard variant will be powered by Snapdragon 625 processor. On the other hand, the premium variant will be powered by Snapdragon 660 processor. While the former is set to cost 1,499 Yuan, which is around Rs. 14,000 in Indian currency, the later is set to cost 1,699 Yuan, which is around Rs. 15,800 in Indian currency. Although company officials have not made any statement regarding the release date and specifications, the rumors are pretty much believed to be true.
Speaking of the camera, it will have a 12 megapixels autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixels secondary camera for taking selfies and for conducting video chats. It will be backed by a highly powerful 5000 mAh battery, which is huge considering it will be powered by such strong processors.
Getting to its storage, it will have a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM for the standard version and 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM for the premium version. The model will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system which will be wrapped under MUI. Coming to its display, it will have a 6.4-inch screen with 1920*1080 resolution. The primary camera can shoot videos at 4K (3840*2160) resolution, as per India Today.
The flagship model will also offer GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Barometer, Light Sensor, Digital Compass, Proximity Sensor, Pedometer, Gyroscope, NFC, among others.
Xiaomi is the 3rd largest smartphone maker in the world, after Samsung and Apple and has more than 8,000 employees around the globe. Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of the company is the 23rd richest person in the world according to Forbes. Xiaomi broke into the Indian market in 2014 through online shopping marketplace Flipkart.
