Coolpad Unveils Cool Play 6 With 4060mAh Battery

Coolpad has rolled out a brand new phone in their home country China. The handset is named Cool Play 6 and the main attraction of the phone is that it is specifically made for avid gamers. It seems to offer pretty impressive specifications but is pocket-friendly too.

The Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes in two color options for you to choose from. The colors include Black and Soft Gold. The piece of device offers 5.5-inch IPS display that comes along with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. On the front of storage, the Cool Play 6, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory. The handset is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. As for the camera, the Play 6 sports a dual 13-megapixles rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 8-megapixles front camera.

The biggest highlight of the phone is its 4060mAh non-removable battery, that the company claims can power the phone for 6 hours while playing games continuously. The handset is made of metal and offers the following connectivity options: Bluetooth 4.1, 4G VoLTE support, GPS, USB Type-C port, and WiFi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n). Cool Play 6 comes with a large bottom bezel that is unusually large. Visually the phone is devoid of a home button.

Gizbot reports that the device comes at a price of  1499 Yuan ($217). It is currently only available in China and the pre-orders have already begun. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 will go on sale from May 16.

Coolpad flagship, Coolpad Note 5  Lite was launched in India two months back, although the phone made its debute in September 2017. The Note 5 sports a 5.50-inch touchscreen display that comes with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. It is powered by a powerful 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and sports 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable for up to 64GB using a microSD card, which indeed is pretty impressive, to be honest. It’s worth noting that although the flagship offers a mega 4010mAh non-removable battery that backs it up, the battery falls short of the all new Cool Play 6, which makes sense, because the Cool Play 6, after all, is a game first smartphone.

The Note 5 is dual SIMed and measures 152.00 x 75.70 x 8.85 while weighing 173.40 grams. The phone offers similar connectivity options like that of the Cool Play 6 and those are 3G and 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and FM. Sensors on the phone include Ambient light sensor, Ambient light sensor, and Compass Magnetometer.
