Nokia has launched two new entry-level features phones – the Nokia 105 (2017) and Nokia 130 (2017) in India for a starting price of Rs 999. The handsets run on Nokia S30+ platform and will be available for purchase in the country from July 19 onwards.
Nokia 105 comes in two variants – single-SIM/Rs 999 and dual-SIM/Rs 1149, respectively. We are yet to learn the cost of Nokia 130. Available in Blue, Black and White color options, the Nokia 105 (2017) is a fresh take on this year’s early roll out – Nokia 3310 (2017). Besides looking a little altered, the Nokia 105 hasn’t got much of an upgraded feature to offer.
The handset offers 1.8-inch display along with 4MB RAM, and 4MB ROM. It is powered by a small 800mAh battery that offers a talk time of some 15 hours. Like we mentioned earlier, Nokia 105 runs Nokia S30+ platform, offered pre-loaded games, FM Radio, micro USB 2.0 ports along with a space for a headphone jack.
As for the all new Nokia 130 (2017), it is a remake of the old classic Nokia 130 that was launched back in 2004. Like its counterpart, it offers a 1.8-inch display, 4MB RAM, 4GB ROM, that is expandable for up to 32GB using a microSD card. The handset is backed by a comparatively better battery of 1020mAh and it available in Black, Grey and Red color options. It runs Nokia S60+ platform and offered Bluetooth, FM radio and a rear camera.
While the old Nokia models help provoke nostalgia, the phone is also making strides into the brave new world with an all new smartphone called the Nokia 8. Reportedly, the handset will roll out in India on August 23 and has a line of impressive specifications to boost. It is expected to arrive with a 5.7-inch 2K display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It’ll be backed by 4GB of RAM and could come with an 8GB variant along 64GB internal storage. But we are not sure about the specifications because they are yet to be officially confirmed.
