Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) May Have Been Spotted on GFXBench

Just over a week ago, we had reported how the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) had been spotted on WiFi Alliance, running the latest Android version. Now, its successor, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) may have been spotted on GFXBench, the popular benchmarking website. So, it seems that Samsung, the South Korean giant, has already started work on the successor to the 2017 Galaxy A7 device.

First things first: how do we know that it is the Galaxy A7 (2018). Well, when we spotted the GFXBench listing, the device was seen to carry the model number SM-A730x. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) had carried the model number SM-A720x. It is, therefore, logical to suggest that this is the 2018 version of the A7 device.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Specs and Features

On board, the new device has an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.21GHz which is paired with Mali-G71 graphics. The device will be pretty powerful given 4GB of RAM. We do not know the make of the processor, however, as the listing does not shed any light on that aspect. We do not know the display size either, although the listing does show that the new Samsung device has an FHD resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels.

Other aspects of the new Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) have also come to light. For example, the default native storage will be 32GB. There is also a 16MP rear or primary camera while the front camera too is 16MP, which means that there will be quality selfies and video calling. The rear camera can also record full HD videos with the front snapper having support for 2K resolution videos. The Samsung SM-A730x will see Android Nougat 7.1.1 pre-installed.

It is expected that the other Galaxy ‘A’ series devices, like the 2018 editions of Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, will also launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018). It is, therefore, likely that the ‘A’ series will receive a major boost next year.
