One of the most talked about devices of this year, the Nokia 8, has been the subject of many leaks, including one which was clearly not intended. Recently, a silver colored variant of the device had also surfaced, with the device itself said to launch worldwide on July 31. Now, a new report has suggested that there will be a copper color variant as well.
First spotted on Baidu, the new variant of the device seems to confirm, once again, that the device will have dual rear cameras. In fact, we even managed to spot the Zeiss mark on the rear cameras. This is nothing new, however, for we had predicted, months ago, that the Nokia 8 would arrive with Carl Zeiss rear cameras. The new Nokia 8 will be manufactured by HMD Global, which is a Finnish giant with rights to the Nokia brand name.
Earlier, there had been reports that the copper colored variant was the same as the gold colored variant, images of the latter having been leaked earlier. We can now confirm that the new variant is a new one, although whether the new color variant will eventually launch is not something that we can predict just now. However, remember that the Nokia 6 had a copper color variant as well.
The Zeiss optics on the rear will make the new Nokia 8 a photographer’s delight. Other features of the device are expected to remain the same. The Nokia 8 will have an excellent 5.3-inch 2K display while at its heart will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which has been powering most of the high-end devices this year. With 6GB RAM/ 64GB expandable storage, the new device is set to be powered by a 3000mAh battery. All said, it seems like a return to form for Nokia. Watch this space for more.
