Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is all set to get the June security patch update, which would enable its users to access the latest security fixes that come along with the patch. However, the update is coming up only for the European models. The other regions are likely to get the update soon enough.
The build number of the software update that is arriving for the European model of the device is G928FXXS3CQFA. This security update will have fixes for the latest security risks and Android bugs that have hit smartphones such as Pixel and Pixels XL and the recent smartphones of Google’s Nexus series, as per Android Headlines.
In the June security patch update, there will be 23 patches developed especially fo Galaxy series of smartphones and 96 fixes for CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) in the Android OS.
It is expected that the size of the update will be relatively small since it is just a security update. As a result, users of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus can download it via WiFi or cellular network. The new update will also boost up the performance of the device and resolve known issues. However, users are being advised to keep a backup in case some failure that might happen in the system during the installation process.
Users can also use Software Upgrade Assistant Tool in case the software update doesn’t get successfully downloaded on the device. This will serve as an immediate troubleshoot guidance. Apart from all the patches included in this month’s release, the update also has an overabundance of extra stability improvements.
The latest update’s changelog is not available as of yet, however, the update is being pushed OTA (Over The Air) that might hit the smartphone anytime now.
This news comes hours after it was reported that Samsung‘s upcoming flagship Galaxy Note 8 will have the fingerprint scanner next to the dual-camera module.
