Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact Set to Release Within the First Week of September

As one of the biggest tech events of the world, the IFA 2017 in Berlin falls upon us, Sony is all set to unveil three brand new smartphones under the company’s coveted Xperia series. Among the three smartphones, the Xperia X1 and XZ1 are expected to make their debut at the upcoming tech giant while the release of the other one, the  XZ1 Compact may get delayed a bit and might launch within 10th September.

We had come across numerous hints and leaks about the Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact in the past and a recent render from an unknown Chinese tech website has just raised the hype. According to the leaks as well as the GeekBench listing, the Xperia XZ1 modeled number as G8441 is going to feature a 5.1-inch full HD display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood. Moreover, the handset is likely to sport 4 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB of phone memory. On the optics front, the upcoming smartphone is pegged to sport a 19-megapixel primary camera at the rear end of the phone while a 13-megapixel sensor will be placed at the front to make video calls and take high-quality selfies.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 is believed to run on the latest Android O operating system and might be backed by a 3000mAh battery. Coming to the design aspect, the render suggests that the device will come with chunky and thick bezels both at the bottom and top. Available in four unique colors variants-Warm Silver, Venus Pink, Black, and Moonlight Blue, the Xperia XZ1 is expected to come with a price tag of USD859 (almost Rs. 55,000).

On the other hand, modeled number as G8441, the Xperia XZ1 Compact is believed to be a cheaper version with lesser specifications. Although the device scored 6232 in the multi-core test and 1834 points in the single-core test at the GeekBench listing, Xperia XZ1 Compact is going to sport 8-megapixel cameras at the both front and rear end of the phone. Under the hood, the specification is expected to remain same as the Xperia XZ1, only the internal memory is believed trimmed down to 32GB. As the name suggests, this handset is going to be a compact version of the Xperia XZ1. So the XZ1 Compact is expected to flaunt a 4.6-inch Full HD screen with the display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixel. The handset is believed to cost you USD 737 (almost Rs. 48,000).
