Panasonic has upped its smartphone game with its Eluga series, many of which have been extensively covered by us. Now, a new member of the family has been listed on the e-commerce giant Flipkart. The Eluga series is known as a budget friendly device with VoLTE support. With the release of the Eluga Ray 500, we believe that the price conscious customer will get more choice.

The new Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 has a full-metal unibody design as well as a fingerprint sensor, the latter of which is embedded into the home button located right on the front. This new smartphone has a 5-inch HD IPS on-Cel display with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 Pixels. To ensure seamless viewing, there is 2.5D curved glass on top. Adequate power is provided by the 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor which works in tandem with 3GB of RAM. The new Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 has 32GB of internal/native storage expandable to up to 128GB via a microSD card.

This new smartphone has a dual camera setup, which is not available on many budget smartphones and which might just be the Panasonic Eluga Ray 500’s USP, has a 13-megapixel primary shooter which has a 5P lens, f/2.0 aperture as well as a dual-LED flash. Also present is a secondary 8-megapixel sensor along with a 6P lens as well as a f/2.4 aperture. On the front is a 5-megapixel snapper which has a 3P lens and a f/2.4 aperture. Photography will be made better thanks to various modes like HDR, Panoramic, Beauty, and Wide Angle Capture.
