Google PixelBook And Google Clips Spotted Hours Before Launch

Google is all set to launch its new range of products today, the headline feature of which is supposed to be the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2XL devices. Now, we have come across the Google PixelBook, this year’s version of the Chromebook. You can check out the live stream of the launch device here. Google is all set to launch a new device called the Google Home Mini, which we have covered in some detail.

Perhaps the main star of today’s hardware event will be the PixelBook, which is rumored to have great pecs and a great design philosophy as well. A reseller’s inventory listing was the first to point out the fact that the new device would soon be launching. This report by 9to5Google was the first to point out that the device would have great specs, which we have mentioned below.

The new Google PixelBook is on its way

Apparently, the new Pixelbook will arrive in three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The listing also shows that the new Google Pixelbook series will have a 12.3-inch display. Tech enthusiasts will remember that in 2013 and 2015, Google had then unveiled slightly larger Chromebooks which measured 12.85 inches and has a screen resolution of 2560 x 1700 pixels. While we do not know how much RAM will be onboard the devices, we do know that all of the three devices will have an Intel Core i5 processor.

The price point of the three Pixelbooks is where things get really interesting. We expect them to be priced between $1,199 and $1,749, depending on which storage and RAM variant you choose. Also onboard will be a stylus-like  Pixelbook Pen which will have tilt support and will come for $99.

Also on board is a new piece of software called Google Clips. Google Clips will be a new type of computer accessory which will work in tandem with existing systems. Besides, we also expect the second generation of the Google Daydream VR which will be available in different colors like Red, Blue, and Grey.
