Nokia‘s flagship device, the Nokia 8, is now back in a new avatar. There is 6GB of RAM onboard as well as 128GB of native storage. This makes it sit pretty in the league of the flagship smartphones. Nearly a month ago, we had informed you that the Nokia 8 with such great features would launch in India. This model is available in India at a price of Rs 36,999.
As far as the price tags are concerned, the Nokia 8‘s new variant comes for EUR 649.99 in Finland. This is approximately equal to Rs 49,852. The Nokia 8 model with 6GB RAM was first spotted at DNA and the Verkkokauppa retailers. Both the retailers have confirmed that this model will start shipping by October 19.
The features of the phone are most extraordinary. The 6GB variant of the Nokia 8 has the same features when compared with the existing variant which has 4GB of RAM. The Nokia 8 runs on the pure stock Android 7.1.1 Android Nougat OS. Nokia, whose phones are now manufactured by HMD Global, has said that the latest updates will be provided to its users with no delay. At the heart of the device is an octa-core (with Four 2.5GHz Kryo and Four 1.8GHz Kryo cores) Snapdragon 835 processor that works in conjunction with 6GB of LPPDDR4X RAM. The device’s 128GB of internal storage is expandable to up to 256GB.
This flagship Nokia phone boasts of a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display that has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Adding extra protection is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which has a 2.5D finish optimized for better aesthetics. The build quality is very good: there is a 6000 series aluminum body and it has four color options. Of these, two come with a glossy finish and the remaining two come in Matte. The available colors are Polished Copper, Polished Blue, as well as Tempered blue and Steel. There is also a 3,090 mAh battery.
