A few days ago the Chinese tech conglomerate Xiaomi launched the much-awaited Mi Mix 2 in China. And that very day, the MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain confirmed that the handset is soon to be launched in India too. Finally, Xiaomi has announced the exact release date of the Mi Mix 2 in India and the company has chosen 10th October to raise the curtain. Xiaomi today has shared a launch teaser and according to that, the nearly bezel-less handset will be unveiled on 10th October through an event in New Delhi. The tweet posted by Manu Kumar Jain reads, “The wait is over.. #MiMIX2 is coming to India! Come Oct 10 and hail the Mi MIX 2.”
Xiaomi launched the Mi Mix 2 in China with a special edition. But in India, the company will only launch the standard non-special edition. There are three variants available of the phone depending on the storage capacity of the handset. All the three variants come with 6GB of RAM but the internal storage capacity varies from 64GB/128GB/256GB. Whereas the special edition houses an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage capacity.
Speaking of the specs, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 sports a 5.99-inch full HD display with 1080×2160 pixel resolution, 403ppi pixel density, a DCI-P3 color gamut, and 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by a 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and comes with a facial recognition sensor. On the optics front, the Mi Mix 2 flaunts a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 snapper with 1.25-micron pixels, a f/2.0 aperture, 5-piece lens, and a 4-axis optical image stabilization at the rear end. Also, a 5-megapixel shooter is placed in the front to take selfies and make video calls.
Moreover, the smartphone comes packed with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and USB Type-C and runs on Android OS.
