Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Could be One of the Certified Redmi Phones: Report Suggests

A new leak suggests that the Beijing based Chinese electronics and software tech giant is set to announce new Redmi Note and Redmi phones featuring full-screen design. While this report clearly indicates Xiaomi to unveil three devices in the near future, Redmi Note 5 has been reportedly scheduled to debut in December (unlike the one we have mentioned here). But as per TENAA certification, the company might bring two devices ahead of November, and to be more specific the devices are dubbed the two variants of the much-awaited Redmi 5 Plus.’

Redmi 5 Plus Allegedly got Certified, Speculations Suggest

The report that we have come across explains that an unnamed Xiaomi smartphone with model number MEG7 has been certified by Taiwan’s NCC. Nevertheless, the report didn’t explain as to why Redmi 5 Plus has been subjected to be the Taiwan’s NCC certified smartphone. But with the help of the aforementioned image, the report explained that MEG7 model is none other than the alleged Xiaomi’s Redmi 5 Plus.

According to TENAA certification, two devices have appeared with model numbers MEE7 and MET7. While the MEG7 model is dubbed the Redmi 5 Plus, the models getting approved by TENAA are the two variants of Redmi 5 Plus. In addition, the report indicates that the MEE7 model is the allege Redmi 5 Plus which would be an exclusive model for the Chinese markets. And the MET7 model is rumored to support all Chinese carriers.

The Singles’ Day in China is on November 11. As per previous reports, the company is looking forward to unveiling Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus before this biggest online shopping festival occurs. Other speculations indicate that Redmi 5 Plus to be powered by 2 GHz octa-core processor. On the optics front, it will sport a 12-megapixel rear camera alongside a front camera of 5-megapixel.
