Xiaomi is all set to launch as many as three full-screen Redmi devices soon. Nearly all of us now know that Xiaomi is all set to debut its first full-screen design affordable smartphone. This will be a significant achievement for the Chinese brand, which has become one of the world’s biggest brands in recent months. Two such full-screen models, with model numbers MEE7 and MET7, were spotted on TENAA some time ago.
Now, as per the latest report by MyDrivers, which you can access here, Xiaomi is all set to launch three affordable full-screen devices. These shall be the all-new Xiaomi Redmi 5, the Redmi 5 Plus, and the much-anticipated Redmi Note 5. All of these devices are great devices and we have covered all of them in great detail previously.
All three devices are said to offer the latest 18:9 display but will have internal differences as far as screen sizes and internal configurations are concerned.
We believe that the device with the 5.5” HD+ display may well be the Xiaomi Redmi 5. The other two devices are said to have identical 5.9” FHD+ displays which are similar to what we had initially spotted on TENAA.
The same source suggests that the differences between the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus will be both the screen sizes and the storage configuration. While the new Xiaomi Redmi 5 may have 3GB of RAM besides 32GB of internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus variant will have 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of storage, clearly a better device overall. The Redmi 5 Plus shall have at its heart the Helio P25 SoC and will carry a price tag of ¥1099(or ~$165) price.
On the other hand, the new Redmi 5 Plus will likely have a 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM variant. We can also expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered variant in the pipeline. As far as the Redmi Note 5 is concerned, this will be the first smartphone to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, as we have reported earlier. It might have 3GB of RAM and is likely to have 32GB of built-in or native storage. The price tag is expected to be around ¥1599 (or ~$240).
