If the latest reports are to be believed, the OnePlus 5T may already be available for pre-orders on a certain e-commerce site. This is despite the fact that OnePlus has yet to officially declare anything about the OnePlus 5T. The company has neither denied nor confirmed its existence. We have previously covered the OnePlus devices in great detail, including when the CEO Carl Pei nearly confirmed its existence.
The latest report comes from GizmoChina and the e-commerce site which has listed the OnePlus 5T for pre-orders is OppoMart, whose web page you can view here, in case you are interested in buying such a device. The page has also publicly listed the specs and features of the device. We, however, ask that you take these features list with a pinch of salt, as it has not been confirmed by the company, OnePlus. We do expect the new device to debut soon, however.
OnePlus 5T Specs and Features
As per the listing on OppoMart, these are the OnePlus 5T’s specs and features. The device has a big 6-inch Optic AMOLED display which has an FHD+ resolution of 1,080×2,160 pixels. Onboard is an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is ideal for widescreen movie viewing. Adding extra protection is the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.
At the heart of the device is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, exactly like the OnePlus 5. We made out two memory variants of the OnePlus 5T. One has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage space; a more premium variant has a mammoth 8GB RAM and a huge 128GB of internal storage space. A pretty neat 3,450mAh battery which also supports 5V/4A Dash Charging is also present.
As far as the cameras are concerned, there are dual rear cameras on the OnePlus 5T. One is a 20MP f/1.7 aperture Sony IMX398 sensor while the other is a 16MP f/2.6 aperture Sony IMX350 sensor. A 16MP f/1.6 aperture Sony IMX371 sensor fits in snugly at the front and is ideal for snapping selfies and video calling.The listing also suggests that the device will soon receive an Android Oreo update. With dimensions of 157×75.4×7.25mm and a weight of 164 grams, this might be the flagship killer which OnePlus has always touted.
As far as the OnePlus 5T price is concerned, the 64 GB variant may well be sold at $549 (or approximately Rs. 35,800). The 128 GB model may come with a price tag of approximately $649 (or approximately Rs. 42,300). Although the pre-orders have begun, the shipping of the devices will start in mid-to-late November.
