Sony New Bezel-Less Sequel of Sony Xperia XZ Premium to Launch in 2018 By Damini Sengupta Posted on November 30, 2017 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr The Tokyo-based Japanese company, Sony, recently launched its Xperia XZ Premium smartphone. And to be very honest, even after incorporating some flagship features in the device, thick borders around the screen didn’t actually scream 2017! While the latest trend in smartphone markets is full-screen display alongside minuscule bezels surrounding it, the Japanese tech giant has relatively been slow to adopt the bezel-less design style on models. But we must rely on the fact that Sony is yet to embrace this newer technology in its upcoming handsets. And much to what we have just claimed, the company is gearing up to launch the successor of Xperia XZ Premium in a revised version. A Bezel-Less Sequel To Xperia XZ Premium to Launch Next Year Things get clearer when we refer to this news that mentions Sony to add a Bezel-Less sequel to its Xperia XZ Premium in the year 2018. Even rumors surfaced in plenty which indicated Sony to redesign its smartphone lineup for next year. Now, there’s more information available on this front, on Sony to bring a revised version of its Xperia XZ Premium that would be a completely bezel-less smartphone. The latest leak suggests an image where it reveals the key specifications of an upcoming Sony smartphone with model number H8541. In question, the device is envisioned to be the next flagship model by the company. As per leaks, the device is expected to feature a 5.7-inch 4K HDR TRILUMINOS display and is also expected to come with similar technology which was implemented in Sony’s Xperia XZ1. The display will be supported by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Underneath, this new Sony Xperia XZ Premium is expected to house the Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Connectivity options also include Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It is also expected to be IP65/68 certified to ensure dust and water resistance. On the software front, this new smartphone will be shipped with the latest version of Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, out of the box.
