It was only in September that the Vivo V7+ was launched in India. We had covered that launch extensively. In fact, just over a week ago, a bright new energetic blue variant of the same phone had made its debut in India. Now, it seems as if Vivo has guessed that the time is ripe for the launch of the Vivo V7 in the country. The V7 had launched in Indonesia only a week ago. It thus seems that the Chinese major is on a major launching spree.
We had earlier informed you that the Vivo V7 would be launched on the 20 of November. An event will be held today at 1 PM where the device will be launched. Given that the Vivo V7+ was launched at a price tag of Rs 21,990 and that the Vivo V7 is said to be a watered-down version of the earlier device, we believe that the price of the Vivo V7 will be lower. The device had been priced at IDR 3,799,000 (or approximately Rs. 18,300) in Indonesia. We expect that the same price tag will also be retained in India too.
Vivo V7 Specs and Features
The specs and features of the Vivo V7 indicate that of a mid-range device. It boasts of a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display that will have a stunning resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. Also onboard is an aspect ratio of 18:9.With these specs, we can easily make out why it is being touted as a smaller version of the Vivo V7+. It also has a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon SoC but we do not yet know what the chipset will be. This unknown chipset will work in tandem with 4GB RAM. As far as we are concerned, we believe that it will have the SD 450 SoC, the same as the Vivo V7+. The internal/native storage space will be 32GB expandable to up to 256 GB thanks to a microSD card. The front camera is a 24-megapixel one with a soft new ‘Moonlight Glow’ feature. The product will be exclusive to Flipkart, the e-tailer.
