Needless to say, a lot has been doing the rounds when it comes to Sony’s upcoming Sony Xperia devices. It was just yesterday when Sony was in the rumor mill with its alleged Sony H8216’s key specs and features on Reddit that leaked some surprising information concerning the smartphone. Of which some of them were a new bezel-less design, a dual rear camera module apart from other nifty features. Nevertheless, after all these, the device’s name and images still remain a mystery for Sony fans, hence unnamed Sony Xperia device!
To offer information against such backdrop, new leaks have recently surfaced online that indicates Sony is set to manufacture an Xperia smartphone with a mammoth bezel-less display. There’s every possibility that we can name the image as the alleged Sony’s next-gen smartphone. Despite the fact that the new phone’s leak doesn’t confirm the name, reports indicate that this might be the Xperia XZ2 or the Xperia XZ1 Premium (which we already reported earlier). The Xperia XZ1 Premium is the new bezel-less sequel smartphone which is geared up to launch in early 2018.
In the meanwhile, Gizbot reports that the new leak does confirm some good information on the device. According to the new leak, the unnamed Sony Xperia smartphone will have a greater screen-to-body ratio of about 90 percent alongside will also sport minuscule bezels on the bottom and atop. Although Sony is said to implement its block design in this particular handset, it likely has a resemblance to Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 2.
The unnamed Sony Xperia smartphone is seen sporting the volume as well as the power button on the phone’s side. Most likely, the power button will be embedded with the fingerprint scanner. There’s also a dedicated camera button on the right side of the phone.
As of now, we are close to next year and we expect Sony to launch its first bezel-less Xperia phone in early 2018. Until an official announcement made by the company, one may check out this news with a grain of salt, which indicates the ultimate design philosophy of next year’s Sony Xperia flagship models.
