Vivo, the mobile phone brand which prides itself on its abilities to take excellent selfies, has introduced the imminent launch of the Vivo Y75. This new phone will be priced at around Rs 16,000 and it will boast of having excellent imaging faculties. Vivo has also adopted the 18:9 aspect ratio which is so predominant in many premium handsets lately and it is being called the FullView display.
Earlier, Vivo had launched the Vivo Y79, which is a more premium phone and which had a 5.99-inch FullView display as well. This new Vivo Y75 is a slightly smaller phone and has onboard a 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The other specs and features are also pretty good. According to dealntech, com, which had first displayed the specs, this new phone has a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 chipset while the graphics department is ably handled by the Mali G71 MP2 video card which is literally pushing the 770MHz frequency.
Besides, this smartphone also has 4 GB of RAM besides 32 GB of internal memory, the latter being expandable to up to a very decent 256 GB by a micro SD card. Apparently, this smartphone has a dedicated microSD card while there is a separate slot meant for accommodating two SIM cards.
As for the imagery, there is a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. One thing to note is that unlike the Vivo V7 and the V7 Plus, the front-facing flash support is missing. You do get the face unlock support in Y75, a feature Vivo calls Face Wake. The new Vivo Y75 runs the proprietary FunTouch OS running on top of the standard Android Nougat. A rather modest 3,000mAh battery unit is present while the company has launched the handset in Black and Gold or Rose Gold color variants only in China. Stay tuned for any further updates.
