This year, the Huawei Mate 10 has been a revelation. Gone are those days when it was taken as an ingenue, as an upstart which had ambitions to join the big league. This year, we had first reported the leaked shots and camera samples, all examples of superior engineering prowess. We were also the first one to report when the top specs of this Huawei device had leaked. After Europe and China, it now seems that the device is coming to the United States, in association with four local carriers.
The Huawei company’s chief executive of the consumers business, Yu Chengdong, today confirmed that the company will be pushing the device rather aggressively in the US market in 2018. The Mate 10 will be the first such flagship device from the company to enter the market. It is said to be released at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 in January, to be held in Las Vegas.
To this day, Huawei has not tied up with any of the major local carriers in the United States. When the Huawei Mate 10 is launched, this will mark the first such instance, an indication that the company has big plans for the future. At this moment, as far as the sales figures are concerned, the company is just behind Apple, which is one of the most famous American companies. With this device, Huawei is looking to come up to the number 2 spot.
The Huawei Mate 10 is, in itself, a very fine device. It also has two variants, including the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. It boasts of a 5.9-inch display that also has a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and which features the now-dated 16:9 display aspect ratio instead of the 18:9 ratio which is now trending.
Huawei’s very own Kirin 970 processor powers the device while a very respectable 4,000mAh battery, with native SuperCharge fast charging support, makes this a very enviable handset.
