Leaked Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Renders Look Tempting, Show off Details

Xiaomi has been on the top of its game with its Redmi series of smartphones. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, as the readers will know, has been in the news for some time now. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated devices. Only last month, we had covered the fact that the device could launch as early as late this month. Later, we came to know that the device was expected in Q2 of 2018.

A new render has now appeared which, if it is true, will safely seal the legacy first created by the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The design is reminiscent of many flagship devices from many multinational companies and does look like it could create a stir in the Indian context.

This report by GizBot was indicative of the massive hue and cry that the new device seems to have generated. The renders come to us via SlashLeaks and show off what appears to be a widescreen display with a full-screen design. It is very likely that there will be the 18:9 aspect ratio aboard the display.

The leaked Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 render

Both the top and the bottom bezels are extremely thin and they show off the fact that the device may well duplicate or replicate the look as laid down by many 2017 flagships. We could make out that the top bezel may house the camera, sensors, and the earpiece. The bottom bezel, however, is peculiar; it doesn’t seem to feature anything. The capacitive buttons are missing and we believe that  Xiaomi will go on and continue with on-screen navigation keys.

On the rear is a decent dual camera setup vertically but with separate (individual) modules. The fingerprint scanner is located below the cameras followed by the Mi branding a bit further down. From what we have reported earlier, we believe that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will likely be powered by the quality Snapdragon 625/632 chipset. Anyone of these chipsets will be paired with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM besides 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The handset may possibly bear a 5.99-inches FHD+ resolution display/ The software will be Android Nougat with the MIUI 9 skin right on top.
