The LG V40, which is claimed to be the successor to LG V30 has arrived in new leaks through a concept video. The South Korean giant is believed to launch the LG V40 device in the second half of this year. While it is too early to talk anything about how the flagship would look like, clearer evidence through the concept video pays off our expectations
The Concept video by Science and Knowledge although happening to be just a third-party concept design affords our anticipations. While the real device might get different over time, a similar design wouldn’t be an illogical idea though. In the video, the LG V40 is alike to its predecessor in terms of design. The body is expected to be built of metal and glass with even narrower bezels around the display, much thinner than what we have seen on the V30 device.
According to the report from GizmoChina, the display will be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6, yet to be announced this year. The device tips to sport a curved edge design on the rear panel along with a dual camera module. Placed horizontally with the dual LED flash, there will be the rear cameras at the right side of the snappers with the inclusion of an autofocus sensor right at the left side. What’s different, there’s no inclusion of the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, instead, the device is conceptualized to sport an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
On the back, there’s the logo of LG. The LG V40 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch QHD+ P-OLED HDR10 + Dolby Vision-compliant display which will give a support for the screen resolution of 2960 x 1440. As per the leak, it would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is expected to be coupled with 6GB of RAM or 8GB RAM. The internal storage capacity is expected to bestow a 64GB or a 128GB version. As per availability, the LG V40 might debut in four radiant colors hues: Blue, Silver, Black, and Red.
In the camera department, the LG V40 will come with 19MP sensors whereby both will come with an aperture of f/1.6, PDAF, and OIS. The selfie shooter will come with a single 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.7. Powering the device, there would be a non-removable 4000mAh battery with an IP68 waterproof and dustproof build. For the time being, we need to keep an eye on more leaks about the device in the coming days. Until further updates, here’s the first look at LG V30 through the concept video right below.
