Now a new rumor is doing the rounds that the company may launch another smartphone at the event. Apparently, a smartphone with model number TA-1005 has surfaced online and it is deemed to be named Nokia 8 Sirocco edition.
As per the latest reports, the Nokia 8 Sirocco may be launched at the MWC 2018 event to be held at Barcelona. The new smartphone with model number TA-1005 has already received its certification from licensing authority FCC last year and was deemed to be called Nokia 9. But now, as per the latest reports this phone may be named Nokia 8 Sirocco, which would be an upgraded version of the Nokia 8.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is likely to feature a 5.5-inch OLED display screen and may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The handset may feature a dual rear camera setup having 13 and 12 megapixel cameras and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The Nokia 9 device on the other hand is expected to feature 5.5-inch QHD bezel-less display screen. It is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor and will run on Android Oreo 8.0 OS out of the box. It may be available in two variants, one having 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory and the other version having 8GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage space. It may be powered by a 3800 mAh battery with quick charging facility.
On the camera front, the phone will sport a 12 megapixel rear camera as well as front camera for selfies and video calling. It is also said to be dust and water resistant as it has already received the IP68 certification.
