Panasonic today has launched a brand new entry-level smartphone in India. Touted as the Panasonic P100, this entry-level phone’s pricing has been started at Rs. 5,299. The Panasonic smartphone is expected to go on sale in the Indian market from today onwards. Interested users will be capable to get their hands on this smartphone through Flipkart exclusively.
Panasonic P100 Key Specs and Features
The Panasonic P100 smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD display and supports a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It comes with a 2.5D curved glass on top and is protected by a layer a Gorilla Glass from minor scratches. Under its hood, the phone houses the MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor which has been clocked at by 1.2GHz and paired with Mali-T720 GPU. Apart from this, the SoC also packs a whopping 16GB of internal storage with the support for microSD card slot, which enables users for further expanding the storage capacity for up to 128GB.
The Panasonic P100 smartphone has been made available in a total of two RAM variants: 1GB variant and 2GB option. In the camera department, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel camera alongside an LED flash. Up front, users will get a 5-megapixel front-facing camera along with a selfie flash. The device runs the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, out-of-the-box. Powering the device, there’s a 2,200mAh battery that comes with a Duraspeed technology which has been claimed to “save battery and data by intelligently optimizing unused background apps” by the company.
Connectivity options also include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, besides Bluetooth 4.0, support for USB OTG, as well as micro USB 2.0. the fingerprint reader is embedded on the rear panel in order to offer added protection. Other features also include Multi-Modes for image editing, Bluetooth Unlock Mode, On Body Detection Mode, Trusted Places, Trusted Voice Modes, and Trusted Face.

While the 1GB of RAM variant of the device comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,299, the 2GB RAM variant of the Panasonic P100 is priced at Rs. 5,999. As far as the availability is concerned, the smartphone comes in a total of four color variants: Black, Gold, Blue, and Dark Grey.
