Airtel Launches Rs 129 Prepaid Plan with Unlimited Calls, 1 GB Data per Day and More for 28 Days

In a bid to compete with Reliance Jio that is on its way to becoming the largest telecom operator in the country in terms subscribers and data usage, Airtel has launched a new Rs 129 prepaid pack to offer free Hello Tunes subscription for 28 days along with other bundled benefits. The company has also recently launched a Rs 219 prepaid recharge pack to offer free Hello Tunes subscription along with voice calling and data benefits to the users.

As per a report by TelecomTalk, the Rs 129 prepaid pack offers a free subscription to Hello Tunes service for a period of 28 days. However, the offer seems to be available only to select users in some specific circles as of now. In addition, the pack also offers 1GB of 4G data per day with unlimited calls to any network and 100SMS messages per day for 28 days. Users can check whether they are eligible for this offer by opening the My Airtel app on their smartphones and also by visiting the official Airtel website. Customers who are not eligible for this offer will get 220 STD/local minutes with a validity of 28 days with a regular recharge of Rs 129.

The Rs 129 recharge pack from Airtel, when compared to Reliance Jio, turns out to be much costlier as Jio already offers benefits like 2GB of 4G data per day, unlimited calls to any network and 100 SMS per day with a validity of 28 days at a much lower price of Rs 98. It also offers a free subscription to all Jio apps like Jio Cinema, Jio Music and more.

To recall, the recently launched Rs 229 pack from Airtel offers 1.4GB of data per day, unlimited calls to any network, 100SMS messages and free Hello Tunes subscription for 28 days. Now it remains to be seen whether Airtel decides to roll out the Rs 129 recharge offer to all the users to make the complimentary Hello Tunes subscription along with bundled data and voice calling benefits at a much cheaper price.
