HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia smartphones had launched the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 Sirocco in India last month. The devices were available for pre-orders on major e-commerce portals like Amazon and Flipkart from April 20 onwards. Now both the devices are available for purchase from today. While the Nokia 7 Plus can be purchased from Amazon, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is available on Flipkart. In addition, the smartphones are also available on Nokia brand stores are other third-party retail outlets across the country. The Nokia 7 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 25,999 while the Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at Rs 49,999.
The Nokia 7 Plus is currently available in two color variants of Black Copper and White Copper, while the Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with a single color variant of Shiny Black. Both the smartphones are part of the Android One program and run on Android 8.0 Oreo flavor out of the box.
Coming to the Nokia 7 Plus, it sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the device features a vertically arranged dual rear camera setup from Zeiss. The rear camera module also comes with a Pro Camera feature, new imaging suite, and AI-powered capabilities to adjust the lighting conditions. The camera can also be used to click pictures in the portrait mode. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Talking about the Nokia 8 Sirocco, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch curved p-LED edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. HMD has claimed that the smartphone has been designed from a single block of stainless steel for better durability. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. The device also comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistivity. On the optical front, the device features a dual rear camera module with a 12-megapixel and a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel shooter.
