As per rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to launch earlier this year. Since the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have been released globally, Samsung may unveil the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 tablet earlier than expected. And now, a leak has appeared online revealing nearly all the specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
According to a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, posted by a leakster, the Galaxy Note 9 may arrive with a larger display screen that the current Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It may sport a larger 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 which is similar to its predecessor.
Apart from that, the leak also suggested that Samsung may pack a larger battery in the Galaxy Note 9 this time. Although the capacity has not been revealed, a previous report had suggested that the tablet may arrive with a 4,000mAh battery.
Coming to the other specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chipset for the US and European variants respectively. Both these processors have also been used in recently launched Samsung Galaxy S9 duo.
Also as per a recent report by Korea Herald, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor. While the benefits of using an in-display sensor are still not known, Samsung is not expected to embrace the under-screen fingerprint scanning technology as yet. While the Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and Vivo have successfully incorporated the under-screen fingerprint scanner, Samsung may take some more time to perfect the latest technology.
The report has also claimed that Samsung may unveil the upcoming flagship device in early August this year. While there is no confirmation from the company till now, the report may turn out to be true as many reports over the last few months have claimed an early launch.
A recent report by The Investor has also claimed that the South Korean technology giant will start production of OLED panels for the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 from April which is two months earlier than previous years. This also hints that the tablet may be launched by late August.
