Nokia X6 has been officially launched in China today at a private event held in Beijing. The smartphone also becomes the first from the company to feature the iPhone X-like notch on its display screen. In addition, HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia has implemented a dual rear camera module on the Nokia X6 for the first time.
Coming to the price of the new Nokia X6, it starts at CYN 1,299 (Rs 12,300 approximately) for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space. The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage has been priced at CYN 1,499 (Rs 16,000 approximately). The premium 6GB variant with 64GB of inbuilt storage comes with a price tag of CYN 1,699 (Rs 18,100 approximately). The smartphone will be available on some of the leading Chinese retail websites like JD.com, Suning, and Tmall.com.
Talking about the specifications of the device, the Nokia X6 comes with a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. It also features 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM support.
The smartphone features a dual rear camera module with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. The company has also announced that the camera module comes with AI capabilities to improve the photo and video-capturing experience of the users with some advanced features like face recognition, lighting effects, optimized color contrast, depth of field and HDR support. It also comes with Bothie feature to use the rear and front cameras at the same time.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and a fingerprint sensor that is mounted on the rear panel of the device. It is powered by a 3060mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging 3.0.
