Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4GB RAM

Along with the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+, Samsung was also expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 at the MWC 2018, but it never materialized. Now, finally, the launch of the new tablet seems to be imminent as it has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 was spotted on GFX Benchmark site in February 2018. As per the listing on Geekbench, the tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. The listing also revealed that the tablet scored 1895 in the single-core test and 6362 in the multi-core test. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo flavor out of the box.

The tablet is expected to arrive with a 10.5-inch full HD display with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and 2560 X 1600 pixels resolution. Earlier leaks also suggested that it may offer 54GB of inbuilt storage space. In terms of the optics, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is likely to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The device with model number SM-T830 will also support LTE cellular connection.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has already received its Bluetooth certification earlier this month courtesy of WiFi Alliance. The specifications of the tablet were first spotted on the GFX benchmarking website and the Geekbench listing now has confirmed the earlier specs.

Coming to the tablet industry, it is largely dominated by Apple with its latest range of iPad models in the budget and premium category. The Android tablets launched by various companies so far has failed to compete with Apple and it remains to be seen how Samsung fares after the launch of the latest tablet.

Although the Samsung Galaxy tab offers innovative design and specifications, the operating system does not seem to be designed well to run on tablets. Maybe this is the reason why Android tablets have failed to live up to expectations until now.
