LG has launched a new affordable smartphone in India with mid-range specifications and features. Dubbed as LG Q7, the smartphone is the latest mid-range device to arrive with IP68 certification for water and dust resistivity. The smartphone will be available for purchase in the country from September 1 across retail stores and online platforms.
The LG Q7 will be available in two color options of Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue and will retail at a price of Rs 15,990 in the country. The major highlight of this device is the fact that it is IP68 certified which means it is resistant to both dust and water. The smartphone also comes with a premium glass finish which is usually found on flagship devices of various smartphone brands only.
Talking about the specifications, the LG Q7 comes with a 5.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device does not feature a notch that is predominant on most smartphones of the current generation and also sports thin bezels on all the four sides. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6750S processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space. The internal storage can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card.
On the optics front, the LG Q7 sports a single camera of 13-megapixel on its rear panel accompanied by an LED flash. The camera is equipped with PDAF and 1080p video recording capability. On the front, the device features an 8-megapixel sensor that is also capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features dual-SIM slots with LTE and VoLTE support along with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2. Additionally, it also features a 3.5-mm headphone jack which supports Hi-Fi audio and 3D surround sound technology. Fueled by a 3,000mAh battery under the hood, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
