Chinese smartphone maker Motorola, which is currently owned by Lenovo announced its flagship Moto G6 series of devices in April 2018. Now, some live images of the alleged Moto G7, which is likely to become the successor to the Moto G6 has been leaked online. The smartphone, which is currently being tested as the Moto G6 Plus comes with a water drop notch display which is widely seen in premium smartphones of the current generation. The notch will likely house the front-facing camera and the device will also sport a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel with the Motorola logo.
The live images of the alleged Moto G7 have been leaked on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. The images show that the smartphone sports a water drop notch screen design with very thin bezels on the sides. However, the smartphone will have a smaller body. The back panel of the device seems to be made of shiny glass and it also sports a dual camera setup on the rear panel that is arranged vertically and accompanied by a twin tone LED flash.
The live images do not shed much light on the specifications of the device, however, it is expected that it will arrive with specifications similar to that on the Moto G6 Plus. The Moto G6 Plus is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC clubbed with Adreno 508 GPU and 6GB of RAM.
On the imaging front, the Moto G6 Plus is likely to feature a dual camera setup on the rear panel with a 12-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, it may feature an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling. It is likely to be fueled by a 3200mAh battery under the hood and may run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. However, since this is only a test unit, the specifications may be changed by the company in the coming days before its official launch.
