Google Pixel 2 XL Receives Price Cut in India; Available for Rs 44,499

With Google all set to unveil its upcoming range of smartphones which include Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on October 9, its predecessor, the Google Pixel 2 XL has received a massive price cut in India. Notably, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL are the latest lineups of Google-powered smartphones available now which were launched last year.

 

 

The Google Pixel 2 XL with 64GB of inbuilt storage was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 73,000 and now, the price has been cut down to Rs 45,499. This is a massive price cut from the company and constitutes to about 40% of the original launch price. It is to be noted that the 128GB variant of the Google Pixel 2 XL has not received any price cut and is still available at the launch price.

It is also worth noting that the successors of the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL are also not far away from launch and the new devices are set to arrive with better specifications than its predecessors in all regards.

To recall the specifications of the Google Pixel 2 XL, it features a 6-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution and is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It is powered by yester year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 835SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage space. Like the Google Pixel 2, the Google Pixel 2 XL does not have a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion and also does not support dual SIM.

On the imaging front, the Google Pixel 2 XL features a single 12.2-megapixel sensor on the rear panel with support for HDR, Panorama and 4K video recording. On the front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies.

It is powered by a 3,520mAh battery with fast charging support via USB Type-C port. It does not feature the 3.5mm headphone jack and currently runs on Android 9 Pie.
