Chinese multinational technology company Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility’s latest flagship Moto Z2 Play is now available for purchase via online marketplace Flipkart and offline stores. The device, whose USP is its Moto Mods support feature, has been priced at Rs. 27,999.
Flipkart is offering a number of offers on the device. On the first day of sale, Flipkart has listed “no-cost” option for Moto Z2 Play. A 5 percent instant discount for all Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders is also being offered. Buyers can also avail Rs. 2000 discount on exchange and additional discounts on purchase of select Mods along with the device is also now on offer. These and more offers are available on Flipkart.
Lenovo has even announced an additional 100GB Reliance Jio 4G data offer for Jio users.
Moto Z2 Play is powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Sporting a 5.5-inch full HD (1080*1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a pixel density of 401 ppi.
The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. Although it is a major downgrade than its predecessor Moto Z Play’s 3,510mAh battery, the company has said that the more efficient battery in Moto Z2 Play will provide 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes and the battery is rated to deliver up to 30 hours of mixed usage, as per NDTV Gadget 360 Degrees.
Speaking of its storage facility, the device features 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The internal memory can be expanded to 2TB via microSD card. It sports a 12megapixel primary camera and a 5megapixel secondary camera.
It comes in two color variants – Fine Gold and White and Lunar Gray and Black. Its connectivity options are Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, WiFi 802.11 a/g/b/n, 3.5 headphone jack, FM radio and USB Type-C (3.1). It also has a number of sensors on board including gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light sensor and magnetometer. Weighing 145gm, it measures 156.2*76.2*5.99.
