Japanese conglomerate Sony is expected to bring a new smartphone, Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, which may sport dual front cameras. Some leaked images of the device have revealed a front-facing LED flash along with dual selfie cameras and also a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the phone. It may also feature a centrally placed rear camera.
Going by the leaked images, the new XA2 Ultra does not look very different from its predecessor, the Xperia XA1 Ultra, as far as the design is concerned. It features an aspect ratio of 16:9 and also retains the thick bezels on the top and bottom of the display screen. It is likely to run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo version out-of-the-box.
The upcoming Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra 2 could get launched as early as this month itself, but it may not feature the stereo speakers like its predecessor. Talking about the specifications, the Xperia XA2 Ultra may feature a 6 inch full HD display screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and may be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and 4GB RAM. The inbuilt storage space is likely to be 64GB, with further expansion possible with the help of micro SD card.
Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra would become the successor to the much popular Sony’s Xperia XA1 Ultra, which was launched in July last year. The device features a 6 inch Full HD display, powered by MediaTek Helio P20 processor, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It may be further expanded to 256GB with micro SD card support.
Going to the camera section, it offers a 23MP rear camera and a 16MP front camera. Both the cameras have inbuilt LED flash. Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra also supports Bluetooth 4.2 and comes with GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 822.11 AC dual band and USB-C charging port. A 2700 mAh lithium-ion battery powers the phone which runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
