BlackBerry Evolve has gone to sale in India exclusively via Amazon India from today. The smartphone was launched in August by Opteimus Infracom, the licensee of Blackberry devices in the country. The smartphone carries a price tag of Rs 24,990 and will be available via offline channels soon. As far as the launch offers are concerned, ICICI Bank credit card holders will get 5% cashback on availing no-cost EMIs from Amazon. The company has also announced no-cost EMI options from leading banks and Reliance Jio customers will get Rs 3,950 worth of benefits as well.
Coming to the specifications, the BlackBerry Evolve features a 5.99-inch full HD+ FullView IPS display with a resolution of 1080 X 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has an internal storage of 64GB which is further upgradable via a micro-SD card.
On the camera front, the BlackBerry Evolve features a dual rear camera setup with two 13-megapixel sensors with f/2.0 aperture, RGB+ Mono Mode and dual tone LED flash. The rear cameras are also equipped with refocus mode, 4X autofocus, and slow-motion video camera capabilities. On the front, the phone sports a 16-megapixel fixed focus sensor with f/2.0 aperture, Tetra Pixel technology, advanced bokeh mode and LED flash.
It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery under the hood and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with a Face-Unlock feature. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, FM Radio, USB Type-C port with OTG support and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Security features on the BlackBerry Evolve include the BlackBerry Password Keeper app that keeps your passwords secure in a vault and also help to create new passwords.
