Huawei Mate 8 Specifications

The unannounced Huawei Mate 8 is expected to ship with the company’s home brew Kirin 950 SoC, which will reportedly be the company’s chipset for the high-end devices. This chipset promises to deliver unprecedented power thanks to a 16nm FinFET production process and the big.LITTLE architecture. With four Cortex-A72 cores running at 2.2 GHz or perhaps even 2.4 GHz and another four Cortex-A53 ones, clocked at 2.0 GHz this handset believed to be a power packed and superfast phone.

In another leaked image posted by an employee of Foxconn, in whose factory the Mate 8 is reportedly being assembled, Huawei’s yet-to-be-unveiled Mate 8 was pictured purportedly showing the metal frame of the handset and promises to be a metal clad giant like it’ s predecessor Mate 7. Along with the metal chassis, this device will come with a round finger scanner on the back, matching the camera lens shape. In other leaked images, Huawei Mate 8’s SIM card tray can also be visible alongside microSD card slot.

Huawei Mate 8 Features

An earlier leaked roadmap of the Huawei tipped that the Mate 8 may feature a 6-inch QHD display with 1920 X 1080 pixel resolutions. The bundled GPU used in the Huawei Mate 8 is the impressive ARM Mali-T880, which should also be backed by an i7 coprocessor and a Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 independent audio chip. The GFXBench sheet also includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity (well 3.7GB and 53GB, to be precise) and previous info also hinted about a less powerful 3GB version, with 32GB of bundled space. Huawei Mate 8 will flaunt sensors like accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, pedometer and compass and will come with connectivity features like NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and GPS.

According to the China’s 3C Quality Certification authority listing, Huawei Mate 8 may come in three variants,NXT-AL10, NXT-CL00 and NXT-TL00,mainly for the three different China carrier versions, China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile, although not necessarily in that same manner. The certification page also gives away some hints about the battery capacity of the Huawei Mate 8 and all the variants may come with excess of 4000 mAh battery capability and 18W of juicing power. Also all three versions are said to support fast charging at 5V/2A and even at 9V/2A.
