Samsung just launch its Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic Smartwatches in India. Priced at Rs. 24,300 and Rs. 25,800 respectively, Smartwatches came out along with Samsung Gear VR headset. All these new wearables are going on sale starting Thursday (January 21) at the company’s retail stores and the e-commerce site, Flipkart.

The Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic are somewhat different in terms of the design. The former has a silicone band with a sporty look, the later sports a premium looking metal body with a leather band. They appeal to two different kind of consumers, while the Gear S2 with its hassle-free modern design, it attracts casual wearers but the Gear S2 Classic if for traditionalists. Powered by the Exynos 3250 dual-core SoC running at 1GHz, the Gear S2 features a 1.2-inch 360 x 360 circular Super AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Its also water and dust resistance with a 250mAh battery inside. The Samsung Gear S2 is powered by Tizen OS. The device has a built-in heart rate sensor along with users access notifications, emails and messages.

The Gear S2 comes in a dark grey color with silver case while the Gear S2 Classic, has a black case with a leather band. Navigation is done either by rotating the physical ring or by touching and swiping (according to your preference). The Smartwatches pairs with Samsung smartphones running on Android 4.3 or above, and at least 1.5 GB of RAM and with non-Samsung smartphones running on Android 4.4 or above, and at least 1.5 GB of RAM.
As for the Samsung Gear VR headset is powered by Oculus, its priced at Rs 8,200 and lets users experience movies, shows in 3D.
