Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus To Be Launched in India on March 15

After being announced last month at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) 2016, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is all set to be launched in India on March 15. The company has started sending out invites for the launch event. Called KnockOut smartphone by the makers tweeted the news saying – “The phone that was a #KnockOut at MWC 2016 will reach India soon. How excited are you? #LenovoMWC” and shared an image of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus. To recall, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus launched along with the Lenovo Vibe K5 at the MWC 2016. Both handsets have plenty in common, the only difference between the handsets were the system on chip (SoC) and display resolutions.

In India, Lenovo is the fourth largest smartphone company in terms of market share. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus will be equipped with 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and 2GB of RAM. it also sports a 5-inch Full HD display (1920×1080 pixels) for excellent viewing experience. The device is 8.2mm thick and weighs under 142 grams. It offers 16GB of internal expandable memory that can be expanded  up to 32GB with a microSD card. As for the camera, Vibe K5 Plus has got 5-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus.

The Vibe K5 Plus features a metal unibody design and is available in silver and gold colour options. When it comes to connectivity, the device comes with Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G, dual SIM (GSM and GSM). It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by an incredible 2750mAh non removable battery. Sensors in the phone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor. The phone was announced at $149 which will priced something between Rs 9,000 and Rs 11,000.

Besides Vibe K5 Plus, Lenovo had launched a couple of other device at MWC 2016 including Windows 10 laptops and a number of  Android 6.0 Marshmallow tablets at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) 2016. In the tablet section they launched the following – Lenovo Tab3 7, Lenovo Tab3 8, and Lenovo Tab3 10 Business while in the among convertibles, Lenovo launched the Ideapad Miix 310, the Yoga 710 laptop and the Flex 4 laptop.

As for the Lenovo Vibe K5, it has got 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. The phone is packed with 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor and 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The device is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop and is runs on a 2750mAh non removable battery. It’s got 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera. The device is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone and as far as connectivity is concerned, the phone comes with the usual options of Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. As for the sensors, the phone includes Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer.
