Only a couple of days ago, the Lenovo-owned company Motorola announced Moto G4 and G4 Plus. And sources tell us that the company is soon going to launch the third-generation Moto E in India. It’s likely going to be called Moto E3 (3rd Gen). A number of rumors that have emerged online in the last couple of weeks. We are rounding all those news and rumors in this post.
Motorola hasn’t officially revealed anything regarding the launch or the device but the handset has made an appearance in the Indian import-export tracking website Zauba. According to the listing, a total 30 units of the phone was imported into the country to be tested.
Motorola Moto E3 Specs
According to some recent rumors, Lenovo devices with model numbers XT1700 and XT1706, are actually Moto E (2016), and they have recently received Bluetooth (v4.0) certification. The two models were spotted on GFXBench with features like 5-inch HD display, a MediaTek MT6735P SoC processor, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, an 8-megapixels primary camera and a 5-megapixels selfie camera.
The existing second-generation Moto E comes in two variant 3G and 4G. But Motorola is expected to launch the E3 in only a single variant.
Motorola Moto E3 Release Date
The handset is likely to be launched in the UK first. According to some sources, Moto E3 (3rd Gen) will release on 2 September in the USA and India. But of course, it hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Motorola Moto E3 Price
The Chinese technology giant is tight-lipped on the price of Moto E (2016) / Moto E (3rd Gen). But it’s expected to be priced around 99 Pounds in the UK which will translate to around Rs 8,800 in India.
Motorola’s latest flagship devices are Moto Z, and Moto Z Force is too expected to hit the market this September. Both devices are expected to feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. According to various sources, they’ll run on quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, and Adreno 530 GPU.
