Apple’s addition to their flagship series of iPhones, the new iPhone 7 is all set to be launched today at the Apple event to be held later at the Graham Bill Civic Auditorium in San Fransisco in less than an hour. A new report claims to give a timeline for the availability of the new iPhone’s in India with 26th of September being the most probable date of release of the new smartphone. The reports, in addition to the launch date also suggest that the pricing of the upcoming premium smartphone is slated to start from Rs. 63,000.
India has been one of the bright spots for Apple, and the growth of iPhone sales in India has been called out in the recent quarterly earnings call. With a large number of people in the country eagerly waiting for Apple’s latest, the Indian market seems like an excellent prospect for the new device. Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook insisted that the company is looking at India for its long-term growth and the company also has plans to open its single-branded retail stores in the country.
