HP Elite X3 is Being Sold in the US at a price of $799

American Multinational and consumer electronics manufacturer HP have now released their new device the HP Elite x3 in the United States. In an time when windows Phones are on the decline, this premium smartphone by the American Company might still be a go to product for android users who are keen to possess a flashy expensive smartphone by looks and feel of it.

The HP Elite x3 is a flagship smartphone that boasts a huge 5.96-inch AMOLED Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The phone which can also be called a phablet is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor accompanied by Adenu 530 GPU, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card upto upto 2TB).

The device will come with pre-installed Windows 10 mobile and with the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update for Elite x3 will be released in mid-September, the US audience will be getting a software update of Windows 10 pretty soon.

The phone measures 161.8 x 83.5 x 7.8 mm and has a weight of 195 grammes.

The HP Elite X3 has a 16MP autofocus camera with  f/2.2, autofocus, LED flash which is capable of shooting video at 1080p at 30fps. The camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.

It also features a pretty decent 8MP front shooter for video calls and unfortunately, selfies.

The HP Elite X3 is powere by a Removable Li-Ion 4150 mAh battery. Extra features include fingerprint and iris scanners, Qi wireless charging, NFC and 4G LTE connectivity,Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP as well as USB 3.0 port with Type-C connector. The device is also IP67 certified – dust and water resistant upto  1 meter and 30 minutes

How much does the phone cost?

HP is currently selling the Business Pack of the device, which comes with the HP Elite x3 Dock alongside the Desk. The device is available for $799 (Approximately Rs. 53,000) at the HP Store, and it is said that the smartphone will ship within 1 business day.

We are definitely sure that if the same device would have been available for Android, Hp would have had a lot more takers for this premium device of their. With Windows phone on a steady decline, we will have to wait and see whether a device as good as this can bring users back to using Windows smartphones or not.
