Intex has been on a launching spree of budget smartphones. Earlier today the Aqua Strong 5.1 was unveiled and now the Intex Aqua HD 5.5 has been unveiled by the Indian Consumer Electronics manufacturer. The Aqua HD 5.5, which comes with features like Emergency Rescue, silent key and several preloaded apps like Saavn and Newshunt among others.

The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS (1280×720) display with Touch 2 Finger and a PPI of 267 pixels per inch. Under the hood runs a MediaTek MT6580w quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with GPU Mali-400MP and 1GB of RAM. The phone packs in 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via SD card.
The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 runs Android 6.0 and measures 154.00 x 77.20 x 10.50 (height x width x thickness).
Camera
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. It also sports a 5-megapixel front camera with flash for video calling and selfie purposes. The camera features include f/2.2 aperture and autofocus.
Battery and Connectivity
The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is powered by a 2,800mAh battery with standby time up to 450 hours. Connectivity options for the device include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer.
The pre-loaded Emergency rescue feature is quite prevalent on the recent Intex smartphones and is in line with the government directive to have a compulsory panic button feature on all mobile phones. Intex has a long list of smartphones which come with the Emergency Rescue feature.
Price and Availability
The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is the latest budget offering from Intex technologies and is available in champagne and blue coloured variants at a price of Rs. 5,637. The device will be available in offline retail stores and online availability of the device has not been confirmed as of yet.
