Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex technologies have announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone, Aqua Strong 5.1 in India which comes with features like Emergency Rescue, silent key and several preloaded apps like Saavn and Newshunt among others. The Emergency rescue feature is quite prevalent on the recent Intex smartphones and is in line with the government directive to have a compulsory panic button feature on all mobile phones.

Hardware and Memory:
The Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 features a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display with Touch 2 Finger. Under the hood runs a MediaTek (MT6735) processor clocked at 1.0GHz and paired with GPU ARM Mali-T720 MP1 and 1GB of RAM. It comes with onboard storage of 8GB. The device is 9.47mm thick and weighs 150 grams and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 which is quite incredible considering the fact that it is a budget smartphone.
On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Camera Specifications:
The smartphone has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. The rear camera comes with dual LED flash, while the front camera comes with single LED flash light. The camera features include Smile detection, face beauty, panorama mode, and voice capture.
Battery and Connectivity:
The device is powered by a 2,800mAh battery which claims to offer up-to 16 hours of talk-time and 466 hours of standby time on 4G network. The smartphone’s connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Intex Aqua Strong 5.1 also supports Jio’s Welcome Offer making it readily compatible with 4G networks. Reliance Jio offers unlimited data and voice service till December 31 under its Welcome Offer. There is also access to a host of Jio Apps for entertainment, music, video streaming, etc.
Price and Availability:
The Budget smartphone will be available across retain outlets at Rs 5,990 in Blue, White and Champagne coloured variants. It might also be available soon on online E-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon.
