Lenovo-Acquired Motorola is all set to release their latest Device the modular Moto Z in India next month in the first week of October. The Moto Z, which was unveiled globally in June this year, allows users to attach a set of accessories called ‘mods’ to the back of the device that adds various functionalities to the device.

Moto Z is currently available in markets like the US, the UK and Latin America in three models (Moto Z Play, Moto Z and Moto Z Force). The phones feature something called MotoMods which are basically snap-on mods. There are three main Moto Z mods, one is a simple battery mod called the Incipio offGrid Power Pack, one speaker mod by JBL called the JBL SoundBoost, a portable projector mod that can project a 70-inch image to a wall and has an hour’s worth of battery by itself, after which it uses the phone’s battery. It projects at a resolution of 854×480 pixels.

Hardware and Memory:
The Moto Z smartphone has a 5.5-inch 1440p display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. It sports 4GB of RAM and comes with 32GB and 64GB of native storage.
The Moto Z Force, on the other hand, has a 5.5-inch 1440p display and is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage.
Both the variants of the smartphone runs on Android v6.0.1 out-of-the-box. In terms of thickness both the devices are quite slim with the Moto Z at a thickness of 5.5mm and the Moto Z Force at a thickness of 6.99mm.
Camera and Battery Specifications:
The Moto Z has a 13MP camera and the front has a 5MP camera. A 2600mAh battery powers the entire package.
The Moto Z Force has a 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The device houses a mammoth 3500mAh battery which powers the smartphone.
Price and Availability:
The new devices are slated to be available from the first week of October and the price of the devices have not been confirmed as of yet. However, we can definitely predict the price of the smartphone to be somewhere near Rs 45,00 considering that the Moto Z 64Gb variant costs around $699 in the U.S.
