On top of that, the tech giants show no sign of plans to stop launching variants of these devices and which smartphone is the comparative better buy is one question which seems to be on a lot of people’s mind. Tech Giants Google’s latest device, the PIXEL XL Variant was released just a few days back and even though it is actually said that the smartphone sporting the “Made By Google” tag was introduced a bit late, it’s safe to say that it will have its fair share of takers. However, the latest Oneplus 3T seems to have grabbed quite a few eyeballs and sales of this latest device on a large scale seem quite unprecedented. On the other hand, the Oneplus 3T smartphone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 401 pixels per inch Plus Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. So in terms of Display specifications, the Oneplus 3T gets the edge in terms of the specification pertaining to the device offering a full HD resolution. Processor The PIXEL XL from Google comes with a Snapdragon 821 SoC that has been paired with a 4GB RAM, but keeps the same Adreno 530 GPU that s found in the Snapdragon 820. The OnePlus 3T is expected to come with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip, which is an enhanced version of the SD820, resulting in a faster and more efficient device in comparison to the Oneplus 3 base variant. So in terms of the basic chipset in the devices, both the smartphones seem to be weighing on on the same level. However, in terms of internal memory specifications, the Oneplus 3T does have an edge over the Google PIXEL with 6GB of RAM. Camera In terms of camera specifications, the Google PIXEL XL sports a 12.3-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Oneplus 3T definitely wins this round as not only is it pegged to sport a better 8MP front snapper, the rear camera is expected to feature a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor with features such as auto HDR and manual control, along with good results in varying light levels, which definitely tips the weights in the device’s favour. Software One one front, the Google PIXEL XL stumps the Oneplus 3T is in terms of the Software used in the devices. The “Made By Google” device runs on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat while the Oneplus 3T will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Price The Google Pixel XL costs a whopping £719 with 32GB of storage or £819 with 128GB of storage in black or silver while the Oneplus 3T is tipped to cost around $480 post its launch. Verdict : On paper Which device is better and Which one to Buy? The Oneplus 3T does, quite evidently seem to be a much cleverer buy among the two devices in terms of the specification list on paper with up-to-date(or possibly better) features and a comparatively affordable price tag.
