Consumer electronics manufacturer Xiaomi have been keeping busy with the company launching quite a number of smartphones in recent times with the new Mi Note 2 and the Mi Mix being the latest devices from the company. And the smartphone makers do not want to halt their good run and Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 was recently spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA.
Redmi 4 Specification List
The latest addition to Xiaomi’s critically acclaimed budget smartphone line-up, the Redmi 4 will be the successor to the commercially successful Redmi 3 and is pegged to be a potential smartphone which will do quite well in the market. According to information handed out by TENAA the Redmi 4 is expected to feature:
- The upcoming Redmi 4 features a 5-inch display supporting full HD (1080p resolution).
- The device is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
- Memory specifications for the Redmi 4 include 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage (same as the Redmi 3s Prime), which will be expandable to 128GB.
- On the camera front, the device sports 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, along with a 5MP front camera.
Apart from these, the upcoming Redmi 4 is also pegged to house a 4000 mAh battery which will be able to deliver a talk time of up to 11 hours. The smartphone will run on MIUI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
On the front of price and availability, the Redmi 4 will be available in two colours – Silver and Gold and is expected to be priced at 1300 Yuan (approx Rs 12,800), which is almost twice the amount required to purchase the Redmi 3. Though no particular release date has been specified from Xiaomi, a December first-week launch for the device is expected post which the Redmi 4 will be available in retail stores offline as well as online e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon.
