Google Nexus 7 (2016) Slated to be the First Device To feature Andromeda OS

There have been talks regarding the fact that whether Google’s next device will bear the Nexus or the PIXEL branding and those statements will seem to have resolved by now as Google is planning to launch their next device under the name Nexus 7.

The Nexus 6 tablet from Google was a success among premium smartphone buyers and the new Nexus 7 tablet is pegged to have quite the same effect in the market.  Reportedly, HTC has partnered up with Google to develop the new Google Nexus 7 2016, but more experts are placing their bets on Huawei being the next manufacturing partner.

The upcoming Nexus 7 is expected to rock the newest hybrid OS by Google, Andromeda which comes with some of the best features of the Chrome operating system.. If this speculation materialises, then this device will be the first to feature this operating system and prove to be a benchmark of how good this software will actually turn out to be on a commercial level. The smart tablet is expected to feature a 7 inch  AMOLED display screen with possible Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection.

Renowned tech tipster Evan Blass posted on twitter that the upcoming Google tablet will feature 4 GB of RAM. He also revealed that the device is currently in development, and it is expected to be shipped out to the market before the end of the year.

Google Pixel phones already sport the latest Snapdragon 821, hence, many would assume that it is likely for Google to equip it’s Nexus 7 with the same chipset. A 64GB On board memory specification was also reported but the tech giants will definitely look at a higher storage variant considering that the best tablets in today’s market are sporting a 128 GB device memory specification.

Other technical specifications include 5,100 mAh battery capacity, 13MP rear shooter and a USB type C port.

Although the Google nexus 7 is expected to feature mostly top of the line specifications, reports do suggest that the tablet will be a budget friendly device from Google with an affordable price tag allowing a large portion of today’s people putting the device on their wish list.
