For a month now, speculations regarding the upcoming device from Lenovo acquired Motorola, Moto M, has been doing the rounds and it finally seems that some concrete amount of information has surfaced regarding the device. The Moto M will feature a 5.5 inch screen according to leaks by Steve Hemmerstoffer

Famous tech tipster, Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks, responsible for a number of leaked renders of Android smartphones that are based on CAD specs. This week he tweeted real life photos of the upcoming Moto M smartphone. They look just like the photos that we saw back in August when the Moto M received its TENAA certification in China. in September, it was reported that the Moto M would have Microsoft applications pre-installed on it. While this still hasn’t been confirmed, if true, it would be the result of a patent cross-licensing agreement between both Microsoft and Lenovo.

Along with pictures, Hemmerstoffer also detailed some potential specs of the device. According to the leaks, the Moto M features a 5.5-inch FullHD display and packs in 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Leaked images show that the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Previously, it was incorrectly assumed that the Moto M was slated to feature a 5,100 mAh battery but now, according to Hemmerstoffer, the phone has a 3,050mAh battery.

The phone was first rumoured to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 but latest reports state that the smartphone will feature the MediaTek Helio P15 chipset running at 2.2GHz. The Helio P15 is an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and is coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. According to the company, the P15 delivers 10 percent jump in performance compared to Helio P10.

Motorola has been making smartphones since a lot of time but has failed to have a major impact in a market which is ruled predominantly by Apple and Samsung.

While the Moto M has yet to be officially confirmed by Motorola, there is an indication it will be unveiled at a Motorola event scheduled for November 8 although all of it speculation as of now.
